Iskandar Malaysia

Technically I stay within Iskandar Malaysia which covers about 3 times the size of Singapore Island.

This week, Iskandar Malaysia was buzzed with the corruption cases of the Iskandar Investment Berhad (IIB) where several personalities which I personally know were involved.

Too bad.

The Makciks from Pong, Kuala Nerang

The other day I was on Air Asia from ALor Setar back to Kuala Lumpur. Sitting next to me were two makciks from Pong, Kuala Nerang. Yes, PONG, Kuala Nerang !

One of the makcik's son was seriously injured in a motorbike accident in Shah Alam. So both of them took Air Asia travelling to KL to visit the injured young man.

Say it what you want about Air Asia, but it does allow people like these Makciks from Pong (Yes, Pong) to fly at affordable price. I cannot imagine 20-30 years ago that the two makciks can travel on airplane then.

True to its saying - Everybody can fly !

One of the makcik even asked for my help to switch -off her Nokia mobile phone when the flight crew member announced about the use of mobile phone in flight

(I can tell you that it was certainly not the cheapest model of Nokia !).

By the way, all the flights so far are punctual !

A big challenge for MAS to cope up with !

What or Why Pedu?

Pedu is one remote place or kampung in Kedah - something like 60 km away from the state capital, Alor Setar.
My late father was born and raised in Pedu and was the former headmaster in Sekolah Pedu for many many years in the 60's and 70s.
Pedu is famous for the lake and dam for irrigation purpose (Pedu Dam).
So I choose Pedu as the main theme or name of my short journals in this blog.

SELAMAT DATANG & WELCOME

SELAMAT DATANG & WELCOME

Everybody is blogging nowadays.

So, PeduMan rambling is my first attempt for blogging...I will write on something that I observe everyday. I consider this as my personal note about life.
